Unless the subfloor is seriously uneven and it can t be corrected reasonably by screwing it down into the floor joists the installer will likely just lay the hardwood over minor uneven subfloor.
Can you kilz subflooring prior to laminate.
Just make sure you use an underlayment that has the moisture barrier if your floors can be installed in this manner.
